Chapter Qiyamah – Part 6

Qiyamah, part 6

Recap: Interestingly by studying the verses of this chapter, we have been going through a process of our own psychological preparation to tackle our existential journey in this world. I understood my own reality where I know that I am aware of what I am doing. The fact that I come up with excuses to justify myself where the verses spoke to me highlighting my human tendencies.

75: 31 “So, he did not accept the truth, nor did he pray,”

The human beings just put forward their excuses for their shortcomings and they know what is going on because they are equipped with the tools to acknowledge their own reality. However, they may choose to accept, ignore, or reject/cover it up.  “Everything is recorded and preserved, there is no need to repeat the excuses again and again; We will collect them all and one day you will face them all together.”

  • What is the reason to take the attitude of always looking for an excuse to justify our actions and choices?

The Quran answers why a person will not accept the truth, the reason is that this person did not decide to choose to confirm the truth of which we are aware within our own selves.  Then the verse continues, and he did not pray either.  (We will come into the relationship between confirming the truth and praying towards the end).  But first, let us investigate the question of:

Why don’t we accept the truth, although deep down we know what the truth is, why do we take the attitude of denying our reality?

Although our inner self (feelings, qualities, reasoning and consciousness) realize it (not necessarily including all the details), the main attitude that I take (not on the spot but later on when I concentrate on it/think about it and if I am serious about my reality and choices i.e. am I doing right or wrong) is to justify myself throwing excuses which only deludes me from the reality.  Example of a justification: “It was wrong, but you know this person also said this to me” or “because of the life conditions of my time or in the society, everyone nowadays does this…”  However, I know that I am covering up the reality.

  • Again, why do I take such an attitude to cheat myself and deny the truth?  Furthermore, what is the truth that we deny and do not accept?

The truth is our reality and a continuation of realizing our reality that “we are created, and we cannot exist by ourselves”.  Even if we make excuses that billions of years ago, there was an explosion and life started appearing on earth, isn’t it like a tale?  Even a four-year-old child may not buy into this!  Is there any sign in your life right now that you are convinced about such theories on how to explain the things coming into existence?

Comment: Not being fully convinced because of a vague notion and so we do not act.

If you are not convinced about something, will you accept it?  No.

If you are not convinced, then to a certain extent it will be right not to live according to the truth and such an act would not be described as not accepting the truth because I am not convinced.  Our consciousness makes it clear that we are wrong

Are we not convinced that we are created? We need to be created to be given this kind of unique existence consciously with endless qualities and potentialities with no source for them within this universe?  How can I say that I happen to be like this by myself, how can you say that your feelings are the results of the outside world (family life or society) or coming from your cells?  Billions of people share the same feelings and have independent cultural backgrounds from each other.  How can one not be convinced about the reality!?  Are people who do not accept the truth not convinced about their being made?

  • We are not talking about the truths of some religion out there, rather are we not convinced that we are created and that all these feelings are given to us by something beyond this universe that I cannot imagine?
  • Just look at a simple spoon, is it randomly made to fit my needs?!
  • We see that millions of creatures develop with different qualities (emotional and sensual) perfectly fitting in their way of living.
  • How can a normal human being not be aware of this obvious fact and insist on denying their reality by claiming that they are given existence as a result of the activities of their body cells?

Comment:  I have a weakness for preferring a seemingly immediate satisfaction/pleasure without considering its ultimate results?

There is a strong element in me which prefers immediate pleasures.  Example: when I am in an argument, I want to win the debate, and this is the choice that is practiced by everyone.

Comment: A desire to fit into the dominant society.

We live in our private homes differently from how we live in our society (double standards).  The language, behavior, and appearance in society are different from our private life at home.  When I fit into the dominant values of the society, one side of me feels comfortable that I am not excluded (this justifies how it feels good to be included and to not stick out as a weird person). Another side of me, does not feel comfortable (where there are lots of societal values/norms that do not fit in well with my human nature and I have to fake it out.)

Comment:  We don’t reflect, we are programmed by the society to keep ourselves busy, and just don’t think about the reality of our createdness.

Rather, we are led by the society to program us.  If one says that I am programmed by the society thus I am innocent; I don’t know what I am doing but everyone does it, so I follow the trend. However, my settings are programmed by my Creator and I have the choice to cover it up.  In other words, I can let the society program me and as a result, I will not think about the reality. This will be my responsibility.

Comment:  Admitting the truth would ultimately be a threat to my personal sovereignty and sense of self-ownership.

This comment hits the heart of the subject, it is a declaration of my own independent existence.  I want to be independent of everything and I want to be the master of my own life/world.  One side of me wants this and I have the option of following it or not.   We need to be careful as it is a serious matter.  We don’t want to be dominated and we do not want anyone to dominate us.  There is a fine point to consider with such an attitude seeking freedom i.e. wanting to be my own authority does not necessitate that I should deny God.  Yes, I may accept God but still I want to keep my own existence and life under my own control because one side of me loves to declare my independence of my choices and the decision making side of me (i.e. freewill and not necessarily existence), that is why it is extremely difficult for us. No one likes to be bossed around. Although I believe in God, I find it difficult to follow a person who is appointed by my God as my teacher and mentor.  How can I act according to the reality where I confirm that I am created by a conscious Being?  When it comes to God’s appointed messengers, I should consult him and then myself: “O Prophet, you are the appointed person”.  That is why it is extremely important to follow the Prophets in order not to fall into declaring my independence with my affairs.

All the Quranic descriptions are centered around this point of ‘Oneness of God’ or ‘ahad’, while describing the attitudes of the hypocrites.  They don’t mind believing in God while thinking that they are independently acting on their own, let alone following the prophet’s exemplary life.  This is related to the concept of the “whisperings of Satan,” an idea that invites us and plagues our mind with an absolute freedom in all our endeavors.  The Quran keeps reminding us to keep refuge with the Creator by stoning Satan (arrajeem means stoning as well i.e. Satan stones you and is stoned).  The Arabic word araajeem has double meaning, the one who is stoned (active voice i.e. I am being stoned with falsehood) and the one who is stoning (passive voice i.e. a wrong idea).  While you are reading the Quran pay attention to the double meaning of some words to get more meaning from it and apply it to your case.  Example: Jameel is a One that makes all His creatures beautiful and this One is also a Beautiful One.  Hameed is the One who is praised and the One who praises those who praise Him.

Satan whispers us with false ideas and is the jealous one i.e. the enemy of the human beings.  “Seek refuge with God” means to remember God and identify yourself with God and then you will not take the option that is suggested to you by Satan.  This alternate suggestion that comes to me is from “Satan” i.e. allowing the entertainment of false ideas.  In the Quranic descriptions, Satan does not find any difficulty in accepting God and says that I am afraid of God, He is my Creator but serving human beings is not of my liking.  Just as all the planets, plants and animals serve human beings, we look at them and we enjoy them and see the beauty and meaning in their existence i.e. they serve us so we can understand and grasp who the Source of Existence (SOE) of these beings is and how He is Powerful, Knowledgeable and Beautiful, Wise and Merciful.  They are all serving us as far as we are concerned and I benefit from them, but Satan (falsehood) says that I am not going to serve this creature, the human being.   Although Satan has an existence from God, he is described in the Quran as being jealous of serving the human being.  That is why Satan says that “I am not going to serve the human beings because the human being is made up of clay whereas I am made of fire which is superior in my eyes”. Both are real existent substances pointing to the same Creator. The options from Satan are just whisperings with no real existence.  All the angelic side of the universe has accepted to serve the human beings because they know that this clay or the human being has God’s spirit.  It means that the human being has the quality to know God and they investigate the options; so that human beings will be able to acknowledge and confirm their Creator and accept to work out their relationship with the Creator.

  • The Creator is the One who is the Owner and I am the One who will declare that my will must follow the will of my Owner.
  • I will follow my Creator’s will, which is described in the language of the Quran as “uboudiya” (worshiping God alone.)
  • One side of the universe serves human beings (angels) and the other side does not (falsehood).  However, falsehood is a good opportunity for me to make choices i.e., what the universe witnesses or what “jealousy” (or Satan) suggests to me, which one should I follow?  That is my reality and we must be careful about it.
  • The sense of self-ownership is the reason why we incline not to accept the truth and confirm it wholeheartedly.

Comment: People follow a certain decision because they don’t see that they are part of an order which is meant to play a certain role that is not defined or created by them.

Why don’t we want to be part of this order?

Comment: It is because we don’t see there is a Conscious will, not of the nature of the universe that could be operating here.  In other words, we may see that things are acting on their own and so I also have the right to operate on my own and that leads me to operate here based on my own will.

Are you suggesting that we do not see that the Creator of the universe (COU) must be a conscious Being?

Comment: The will to act and be, that power is attributed to things themselves.  If I can attribute power and ability to myself, then I will act as I want.  If one doesn’t see and recognizes that things are not operating on their own, then one follows the same idea for oneself.

So, it seems that you are suggesting as if we love acting independently as owning freewill, while the COU is acting and creating.  Since the COU is creating me and the universe freely as He wants according to His choice, then I may do the same i.e. declaring my own “little godhead”.  That is one side of me, isn’t it?!

Comment:  It may be so, but one may not see any point and reason in following or submitting to an external authority, it is a rebellion of a sort and it does not make sense to follow anyone else’s will.

It does not make sense, or it does not “fit the desire of one side of my feelings?!”  There are two sorts of options in front of my free will, one is “false” and the other is “inspirational”.  This universe is created with its opposite qualities that are harmoniously working. When we look at the meaningful aspect of the universe, where the universe is working out there for me, I feel it and communicate with it continuously.  This is how I benefit from the universe and there is no end to the spiritual dimension of the universe.  It is impossible to accept an end to the qualities manifested in the universe because we do not see the limits to this universe (physical description is outside our scope here, even so, we cannot get to the end of the universe physically).

As far as I am concerned, I am at the center of the universe because all the beings serve me. One side of me says (while the other wants to declare my own independence) that you are employed to benefit from the universe and while you are benefitting from the universe, you have to acknowledge the Creator and submit your feelings and your will to His will by following His exemplary teachers that He employed (following the sunnah i.e. the Prophetic tradition).  At least acknowledge that I need to follow the exemplary life pattern, that is my ideal life because my Creator says, “Follow my will”.  And how can I follow the Creator’s will in my practical living conditions?  I would not know unless I am guided by a teacher from my Creator.  In other words, I want to follow the Creator’s will, and so I need an example out there.  That is why, I cannot imagine the Creator of this world will do something nonsensical by creating this wonderful perfect universe but not show me how can I act out within his creation, what behavior I need to have i.e. the huge emotional (feeling) side of me, without giving me the practical examples.  If there were no employed Prophets/messengers employed as teachers/instructors, I would say that the SOE of this universe is not wise and He did something nonsense. I would say that He is demonstrating to me this universe and my existence while I do not know what to do.  Yes, He is the Creator and my life is just as it is.  Do I follow my life according to my own self-centric interests?  Is that why I am here?

That is how the Quran describes the attitude of a self-worshipping arrogant person which is represented with the name “Pharaoh”.  In the description of the Quran, Pharaoh is represented as person who claims a godhead (ilah), sustainer (rabb), owner (malik).  That is, this attitude claims that I am feeding you, educating you, and looking after you as this land where you are residing, is my property.  How about our own attitude when (sometimes) we feel that we own ourselves (our feelings and properties) as if we are the SOE of these things i.e. I am declaring my godhead in my choices of things and I am the rabb of myself and I can choose whatever I want!?  I can make my own decisions according to my wishes i.e. I am the teacher of myself.  Example: I am the educator of myself, by myself and I do not want to submit my will to anyone else’s will.  As the Quran says, this one side of me is the whisperings of Satan.  That does not represent my reality for I am a created being.

I always have two options and I need a criterion to make the decision between two options.  If there were no examples for me in life i.e. exemplary teachers employed by the COU, I would say that this COU is not wise enough and He is missing something because human beings need teachers.  Can you learn anything without the instruction of a teacher?  Does everyone have to re-invent the wheel again and again by himself?  We need to learn through the accumulated knowledge of human beings.  Do we notice how many parents are struggling, killing themselves in order to educate their children in an education system, why?  They want perfection for their children (a very human desire). However, when it comes to educating my free will, how should I control it, manipulate it or direct it i.e. which kind of criteria shall I follow?  I need an example, a center for education, that is what the mission of the Prophets is all about.

  • Without a Prophet, there is no religion; even if you believe in God, that is not a religion.
  • If you say that I follow God (by myself) or I follow the Quran, then where is your example?

The Quran is like a legal constitution, can one practice it without applying the law and following the court system (practical)?  The Constitution, by itself, is the source of law but it cannot be practiced without the law system including the judge, court system, police system…

  • Similarly, the Quran without the Prophet has no practical meaning (the Quran gives some ideological meaning, but my practical life needs an instructor, a teacher, and my dedication to following his practice).

That is the problem of mankind where our human feelings (on one side) are inclined to not follow the exemplary life of the Prophets i.e. does not want to get into the teachings and instructorship of the message.  That is why some may say: “I believe in God, but I do not believe in religion”.

  • Example: Most societies that we live in identify themselves as believers in God and respect those who follow a religion. People can do whatever they want and the administrative system is dependent on the desires/wishes of the people (secular system and civilization), rather than being dependent on God’s will.

A secular civilization does not mean that it denies the existence of God.  All the founding fathers of the United States were believers in God and hailed from Protestant and Christian tradition.  However, when it comes to practical life, they say that we are secular and “Deists” i.e. they do not acknowledge religion and thus its practice.

  • Religion means the institution established by God and practiced by the messengers/prophets as an example for mankind.
  • This side of the teachings of the Quran is neglected.

Again, why don’t we want to confirm the truth wholeheartedly?  All the following verses describe such attitudes.  That is, there is a side of us that wants freedom in its affairs and becomes a mini-god, and we have to pay attention to it:  “Am I really confirming the truth (that is the heart of the matter)?

What does it mean to confirm the truth?  It does not mean confirming that there must be a Creator (that is already included in me where I must confirm the existence of a Creator and I must confirm that I am created). Rather, at the same time, the truth encompasses that my feelings need to be trained with this truth.  In other words, my will/choices must have this truth as the criteria to decide and follow.  This is a very human side of our reality.  Now, if we really become aware of our weak points at this stage (which is the source of all disease and all problems that we are facing in this world), we can be inclined to train our feelings as they ought to be trained.

As far as the second part of the verse is concerned, if you don’t confirm your reality, why should you express yourself to the SOE and pray?  What is prayer anyway?  It is to express yourself, your neediness, and your reality to an authority and submit yourself to this authority that you accept that He is the authority over your free will (and existence which is the initial and essential side of your acceptance).  Example: if you want to enter a huge building and to get in touch with the building, you must first open the door and put your leg in it.  Now, as believers in God, the Owner of your being, you are in it.  However, without performing this first initial action, you cannot have any right relationship with the building.

  • Similarly, that is what accepting the truth means i.e. I am created and I have a Creator.
  • From here, as far as my relationship with the building is concerned, I must work on it.
  • The building represents my feelings i.e. the emotional side and without going into my feelings, I cannot develop a relationship with the building.

This emotional side of me is a huge universe, with endless feelings and endless capacities. Just listen to yourself for you are a precious being.  As far as our existence is concerned, we are all priceless in the values we carry in our existence.  Now, after putting the first leg, the process starts i.e. it is possible for you to continue your journey within your own feelings.  That is, you must accept that you have to submit your feelings to the will of their Owner, who is it?  The One who Owns your being, and so you have to utilize your feelings according to His choice, which means that my will must follow the will of my Creator in every aspect of my life as far as I am aware of it and I try to be aware of it more and more; that is prayer. If you are not aware of some senses, then you don’t feel the need to follow.

Mostly, ritualistic prayers are reduced to only one-thousandth of their real essence i.e. pray 5 times a day.  Yes, we must pray but the consciousness behind it requires the acceptance of the authority about my decision to use my feelings according to the will of their Creator, which is described through His revelation and exemplified i.e. put into practice by the messengers that He employed for me as an instructor with how to live my life.  The messenger gives instructions to me on how to live my life and he is the torch of my life and that is why I must search for it and understand and see how he really practiced God’s Will in this life.  At least, ideally, I must say, I don’t know what I am going to do here, but my life coach is the messenger and I must learn from him.  It means that the will of the Creator is represented in practical terms in the exemplary life of the Messengers.  That is an interesting stage of training my free will, we must be careful about it.

  • Prayer is accepting that I cannot use my feelings as I wish or will, rather according to the will of the Owner of my feelings, that is called “prayer”.
  • That is why we say: “Please God guide me to the straight path” i.e. I do not want to go against the will of the One who gave this feeling to me, i.e. the purpose in their existence within me.
  • These feelings are given to me to not contradict the purpose of their existence.
  • These feelings are given to me as the tools to acknowledge my Creator and so, I must use them to acknowledge its Creator and I must use them in the name of its Creator.  How am I going to do that?

It is easy to say pray and fast (we keep hearing these words), but in practical terms, how can I pray in my whole life?  Sure, I can go to the mosque or a house of worship or do it here, at home.  But the consciousness behind the act of praying needs education.  That is why we are digging into this subject, scratching the surface, and going deeply into it.

Why am I expected to pray the 5 daily prescribed prayers for example?

  • I must concentrate once again, train myself, about what?
  • What is the purpose?
  • To keep my consciousness of what I am supposed to do here.
  • That is, I must remember that:
  • I am getting old, though I do not want it, I cannot control it. That means I do not own myself.
  • I must follow the will of my Creator and use the tools given to me to get to know Him.

That is how I can use my feelings in the name of their Creator and that is the summary of “bismillah” (in the Name of God) in the Quranic teachings.  Every section of the Quran starts with “bismillah”, that is “I am going to teach you in this section how you are supposed to use your feelings to acknowledge the Creator of your feelings and get to know which kind of Creator He is”.

We all say that the One who gives existence to the universe is the Creator, but which kind of Creator is He?  He must be an All-Powerful and All-Knowledgeable One.  Ok, but how about your feelings?  How about your relationship with this All-Powerful One?  How about your own seeming power that you think you own?  These are the main subjects that are not widely studied and pointed out among popular religions.  At least the core of the Quranic teachings is centered around “worshipping God” and “praying”.  If you accept the truth, then you can worship God and pray and if you don’t accept the truth, then you will never be able to pray.  That is to say, if you don’t accept the truth, then you will never undergo the process of realizing who you are and how you are expected to practice your freewill.

Human free will is at the center of everything as far as I am concerned because whatever I do it is the result of my practicing freewill.  This is extremely important.  Prayer is presenting myself and practicing my feelings with an acknowledgment of their Creator, so the purpose of my feelings will be fulfilled.  This means that through my feelings, I will get to know what kind of Creator He is so that I can say that “He is my Master, Sustainer, Lord, Owner, Trainer.  I am coming from Him and return all these feelings to Him and submitting my entire existence and feelings to Him through the practice of my free will”.

  • Prayer is the core of everything in my life, which is represented in my bodily form mostly as the 5 times a day prescribed prayer and is the result and response to the acknowledgment of my feelings.

Example:  Every here and now the firefighters go out dealing with fire situations, however, sometimes, the fire Marshall just sends them out to keep them busy as part of the training without any serious situation to deal with.  The equipment they have on and carry with them put them in the mode of as if they are dealing with a serious matter.  The Marshall does not tell them about this, it is just a mechanism, part of the training to keep them alive.

  • Similarly, the five daily prayers are the mechanisms/training activities where the real purpose is to educate me and remind me to submit my free will to His will through the exemplary life of the Messengers.
  • My real-life conditions can only be learned from the practical life of the Messengers.
  • How can I learn it otherwise?
  • Example: God says don’t worship Satan.  I see no Satan in my house, just some furniture, books, and food.  Can one be free from the assaults of Satan?
  • We must make all these concepts real for us.

Comment: Why can’t people figure things out by themselves and need to put into practice the exemplary life of the Prophet (pbuh) based on the shura (consultation) process since everything is based on interpretation anyways?

How can we put into practice the exemplary life of the prophet?  Can you make a shura (consultation) without any constitution or a practical practice based on everything that we wish?

There is a shura (consultation committee) that makes legislation according to the choice of the people.  What is the difference between God’s religion and the secular system?  Without any criterium and according to my choice or the choice of another, we wouldn’t know how to deal with my limitless feelings.  There must be a criterium.  Can you say that I can become an Engineer without a teacher?

Even if I want to become a sanitary worker, they give me training on how to throw garbage and then a certificate to practice the skill.  We are created in a way where we need training in everything to practice it.  Why did God give us unlimited feelings, the more we are careful about our spiritual side, the more we are aware that these kinds of fine feelings we have (for example, hearing a sweet voice for a while cheers me up but why?) must be there for a purpose.

  • Example: you have a mousetrap and a mouse is caught by the trap and starts making noise, don’t you feel pity for this animal if you listen to your consciousness?  Yes, I don’t like this creature and I don’t want it in my house, but I don’t want to end its life.  If you reflect on the purpose of its creation or the fact that the Creator of the universe must have created it for a purpose and this mouse has free will, but its free will must be practiced somewhere else without getting into my house.  That is how they are created.  A mouse may be dirty for me, but for the mouse, that is its best appearance.
  • Example: The vultures like to eat the carrion, for them it is something delicious but for you, it is disgusting and ugly.  You may question, why God created this horrible thing?  That is why it is created for you to hate it, not hating the Creator, rather for you to make the decision between sweet and ugly.
  • We have free will and we must make decisions and choose from among the two options.

These kinds of feelings need to be used according to the will of the Creator, i.e. it is according to the Creator of your limitless feeling and limitless freedom that you direct these feelings in the direction that they are created for i.e. the purpose of their creation, to get to know their Creator.  Example: In our social, family, and personal life, we have to use our feelings accordingly i.e. to become aware of the Creator of these feelings and to understand that He is the One who is the SOE of these feelings and He has these qualities in Absolute form.  That is called knowledge of God.  Now, Love of God is only possible after the knowledge of God i.e. accepting His Godhead (first stage), then becoming aware of His qualities (second stage) and finally that ends up in getting excited to turn back to Him and to be embraced by His hand of Mercy: “Hear my heart as a one acknowledging the truth (abd)”.

  • As a result, the Creator says: “This is the man of truth. Welcome! You accepted the reality and did not turn back to the reality, I welcome you to My presence, that is called “Paradise”.  Can you imagine the Owner of the universe is welcoming you?  That is what Salamun kaulan mirrabilraheem (Qur’an, 38: 58)means: “those people really acknowledge their lives and submit their will to His will.”

Without going through these stages of connecting our existence, and the existence of our feelings to the source of it and not accepting the practical life of the exemplary teacher but acting on our own decisions, we cannot attain the love of God.  That is what Satan (in the language of the Quran) represents for the human being, keeping one away from the Love of their Creator and appropriating ownership to oneself.  “Although You created me, I am better than the other ones”.   Who doesn’t say that I am better than others!?  We all want to be the best and compete with others, except those who accept the reality, confess their reality, and submit their existence to the SOE.  Example: I may borrow a car, and say that it does not belong to me, but I may use it as I want, not as its owner wants.  That is theft and we do it with our feelings.

You don’t have to deny the fact that you are created in order to declare your self-existence, independence before your Creator, “yes you are the Creator wherever you are, but I will live my life as I want”.  If the criterion is this, then everyone says that is my opinion.

  • If a country has 300 million people, then we will have that many opinions: “This is my opinion” and that is just the ego speaking.  Rather, we must say that “this is the opinion of my Owner, Creator and here are the living examples i.e. I must follow the exemplary life of the Prophets who are appointed by our Creator, our Teacher.”

I may not get all sorts of examples from the Prophetic lives, but that must be my criteria. Otherwise, my acknowledgment of the Creator may not be different from the acknowledgment of the Creator by Satan.  That is an interesting presentation in the Quran.  Even Satan says: “I fear my God (Qur’an, 59: 16) and I cannot deny Him, that is my reality, but at the same time, I am competing with my peers.  That is what is going on in the world i.e. belief in God does not prevent me from falling into this mistake. That is the difference between consultation among people according to secularism and the criterium that people follow as presented by my Creator.

Again, believing in God is not the problem of most people, it is necessary but does not require much submission to the will of the Creator.

Example: You are living in a house; do you deny that this house has a builder?  No.  There must be a builder.  While you are using the door, did it ever occur to you that this door is the will of the maker of the house?  Have you ever remembered that the door acting in this way is the will of the builder?  No.  When the door does not work, do you get angry with the builder?  Yes.

  • Similarly, we remember God (although, we acknowledge the Creator) when things go wrong according to my expectations.  That is my reality, wake up!  When things work normally, we say, I bought this house and I paid my rent and the right of use is mine because I am paying for it.  I can put things as I want in my house, although you don’t deny that this house has a builder, according to the purpose of the builder.
  • That is exactly what is happening when I acknowledge that the universe has an Owner and I am using my garden as I want, I am using my body as I want, yes, it is created and I am not denying it.  That is the core of the problem, where I am using things as I want.

Even if you accept the truth (the existence of the Creator), the core of the problem remains as far as regulating and managing your life (social, family, political and economic) is concernedExample: “That is what I want, I am free to choose that, this is mine and if I can buy this, why not?  None of the business of anyone else and no one should interfere into my life and advise me about anything unless I am in an unsolvable problem”.  Mostly, if I have a problem, then I complain to God.

  • If I do not have a problem, then I say if I can manage and afford it and own it, then I am good because the “I” is at the center of my life.
  • How can I make this “I” submit himself/herself to the Creator in order to get to know Him?  That is the purpose of the existence of human beings.

75:33 “and then went arrogantly back to his people.”

Any problem that occurs, we tend to go back to our previous ideologies i.e. we are free people and the society shapes the practice of how things should be decided, and people decide according to their wishes.  As a result, the common wishes of the majority of the people will prevail.  It is not wrong, but it has its implications as far as the purpose of my existence is concerned.  (more next week)
